Bonds makes a splash in colourful first summer collaboration with Aussie artist Funskull

Street meets surf in BONDS exciting new summer collaboration, BONDS x Funskull, a twinning board short collection designed in colourful collaboration with Australian contemporary artist, Elliott Routledge.

Launching October 15, fusing art with a feel-good t, the limited-edition collection of mens board shorts, available in four vibrant prints, launch in conjunction with two ‘mini-me’ boy’s styles.

“I created the prints to all have their own character. They’re designed to be fun and bold, but ultimately wearable by anyone and everyone,” says Elliott Routledge.

Celebrating the special bond between father and son, uncle and nephew or two great mates - big and small, the vibrant collection has been designed so you can match with your mini. Created with comfort in mind, the shorts have quick dry fabric, side zip features, a drawstring waist and self-stowing pockets.

“My dream project is to have a show with my son, Hunter, one day. Until then, being able to share this collab with him is pretty awesome!”

“It’s always been high on my list to try and involve my kids in my art projects, so when the opportunity to do this came up I was so excited to tell Hunter,” says Routledge.

Pushing the boundaries in art and creativity, Elliott’s pop-art-meets-abstract-style is plastered across the world’s biggest cities and their vast streetscapes.

“My work is bold, bright and full of contrast and abstract. My in influences come from all over the place. Weird people I meet, social situations, fashion, nature and anything else that randomly hits me,” says Routledge.

One of Australia’s most distinctive contemporary artists, Elliott Routledge cemented his roots in street art, best known for his impressive large-scale murals around the world.

Emily Small, BONDS Head of Marketing says, “the collection captures the spirit of Australian summer and BONDS as a brand for Aussie families. The range is fun and bold, encouraging customers to push the boundaries with colour and prints. Elliott’s unique artwork and youthful energy makes him an exciting addition to the Bonds range”.

The limited edition mens and boys BONDS x Funskull board short collection is available for purchase in-store and online on www.bonds.com.au from October 15.
