"It Doesn't Taste Like This at Home" Icebergs announces return date & bookings

Restaurateur Maurice Terzini and Icebergs Dining Room and Bar celebrate the return of both, the iconic venue of 18 years and the hospitality industry. Maurice has created a campaign “It doesn’t taste like this at home” to reintroduce Sydney to dining and promote our industry reopening.

“Over the past two months not only Sydney, Australia, but the world, has seen the hospitality industry rise from the ashes, providing services that have allowed us to live and enjoy as much as we can with life in isolation. During this time, we have been spoilt with takeout and delivery options of outstanding products changing the landscape forever. However regardless of zoom interactive classes, livestreams, pick up or delivery, one thing no one has been able to recreate is the social energy of the environment and engagement that exists within restaurants, bars, clubs and cafes, no matter how hard we try, ‘it doesn’t taste like this at home’”. In anticipation for our opening we will be launching a special week in Icebergs history. A moment in time for you and your guests to spoil yourselves and join the lucky few along with the team at Icebergs to celebrate the return of dining in one of the world’s most beautiful dining rooms. A limited number of seats will be available to pre purchase and book for both the lunch and dinner service each day for the first week only. This will allow dining guests to secure a table now before our return.

Launching a greatest hits Icebergs menu, Head Chef Alex Prichard will feature some of our all-time favourites that everyone’s missed, featuring courses such as; Beef Tartare mixed tableside, Koshihikari Risotto, Blue Swimmer Crab, Orange & Espelette, Pan Roasted Blue Eye Trevalla, Black Garlic, Radish & Lovage and our famous Signature Salt Crusted, Boneless Rib Eye. Supplements will be available to order on the day including a Caviar Selection, Lobster Spaghetti for the table or adding Black Truffle to your Rib Eye. A specially created wine list prepared by Head Sommelier Gabrielle Webster.

We are as excited as you are about the prospect of reopening our beautiful venue after being closed over the last few months. Due to major roadworks taking place on Notts Avenue, we have made the decision to reopen on the first day of August and can’t wait to see you all again.
